Introduction & Parties
1. About These Terms
1.1These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Lewin Paro platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Lewin Paro Ltd ("Lewin Paro", "we", "us", "our").
1.2Lewin Paro Ltd is a limited company registered in England and Wales. Registered address: 20 Sandown Park, Tunbridge Wells, England, TN2 4RJ. Company number: 16993210.
1.3By accessing our website at lewinparo.com, purchasing a subscription, booking a session, or using any part of our Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.4If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.
1.5These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference.
1.6We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent version. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Who We Are
2.1Lewin Paro Ltd is a corporate psychology and professional wellbeing service. We provide subscription-based access to psychological support resources, practitioner-led sessions, and content designed for high-performance professionals in demanding careers.
2.2Lewin Paro is not a registered medical provider, NHS service, or clinical psychology practice. Our service is intended for performance support, stress management, and professional wellbeing — not for the treatment of clinical mental health conditions or psychiatric disorders. See Section 14 (Crisis and Safeguarding) for further detail.

3. Who Can Use the Service
3.1The Service is intended for individuals aged 18 and over. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
3.2You must be resident in the United Kingdom or accessing the Service from a jurisdiction where it is lawful to do so. It is your responsibility to ensure use of the Service complies with the laws of your local jurisdiction.
3.3The Service is intended for personal use only. Corporate or enterprise use requires a separate written agreement with Lewin Paro Ltd. Contact us at [email protected] for commercial enquiries.
Part 2
Subscriptions & Plans
4. Subscription Plans
4.1Lewin Paro offers the following subscription plans. Prices and features are subject to change in accordance with Section 7.
Membership
£4.99/month
Billed monthly
Full access to the Paro Resource Library. Ability to submit feedback and resource requests. No 1:1 sessions included.
Individual
£49.99/month
Or £41.67/mo billed annually (£500/year)
All Membership benefits plus two 20-minute practitioner-led Paro sessions per month and optional check-ins.
Individual Plus
£94.99/month
Or £82.33/mo billed annually (£988/year)
All Membership benefits plus two 40-minute specialist sessions per month, optional check-ins, and option to select a named psychologist.
4.2A free introductory trial session may be made available to new members. Availability, duration, and terms of any Free Trial are set out on the relevant offer page and may be withdrawn or amended at any time.
4.3A subscription begins on the date you complete your purchase and is billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) unless cancelled in accordance with Section 6.
4.4You may hold only one active individual subscription at a time, unless otherwise agreed in writing with Lewin Paro.
4.5Subscription plans, session allocations, and features are subject to change. We will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes in accordance with Section 7.
5. Billing & Payment
5.1By purchasing a subscription, you authorise Lewin Paro (via our payment processor, Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis at the frequency and amount applicable to your selected plan.
5.2All prices are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP).
5.3Annual subscriptions are billed as a single upfront payment covering the full 12-month period. Monthly subscriptions are billed every 30 days from the date of purchase.
5.4Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Lewin Paro does not store your full card details. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
5.5If a payment fails, we will notify you by email. Access to your subscription may be suspended until payment is received. We will attempt to retry failed payments once.
5.6It is your responsibility to ensure your payment details remain current. You can update your payment method via your account settings at any time.
5.7All purchases are subject to verification. We reserve the right to decline or cancel a subscription order at our discretion, in which case any payment taken will be refunded in full. Please note: once a subscription has been accessed or used within the billing period — including accessing sessions, content, or check-ins — it is considered fulfilled and no refund will be issued.
6. Cancellation & Refunds
6.1Cooling-Off Period. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (where applicable), you have a statutory right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason.
6.2If you exercise this right within 14 days and have not accessed any sessions or digital content, you will receive a full refund within 14 calendar days.
6.3If you exercise this right within 14 days but have already accessed sessions or digital content, we reserve the right to deduct a pro-rata amount reflecting the portion of the service already delivered before issuing any refund.
6.4To exercise your right to cancel during the Cooling-Off Period, contact us at [email protected] with the subject line "Cancellation Request — [your name and account email]". We will confirm receipt within 24 hours.
6.5Ongoing cancellation. After the 14-day Cooling-Off Period, you may cancel at any time through your account dashboard or by emailing [email protected].
6.6For monthly subscribers: cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. You will retain access until that date and will not be charged again thereafter.
6.7For annual subscribers: cancellation takes effect at the end of the current annual billing period. No pro-rata refund is offered for unused months within that period, except where required by applicable law or as set out in Section 6.8.
6.8Exceptional refunds. We will consider refund requests outside the Cooling-Off Period in the following circumstances:
- (a)You have experienced a serious illness, bereavement, or life event making continued use of the Service impossible;
- (b)We have materially failed to deliver the service as described;
- (c)A technical fault caused by us prevented your use of the Service.
6.9In compliance with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, we will ensure that cancellation is straightforward, available online, and confirmed in writing within 24 hours of your request.
6.10Lewin Paro will not apply any penalties, exit fees, or disproportionate conditions to cancel your subscription.
7. Price Changes
7.1We reserve the right to change subscription prices. If we intend to increase the price of your existing plan, we will give you at least 30 days' advance written notice by email.
7.2If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before the new price takes effect without penalty. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
7.3Price changes will not apply retrospectively to the remainder of a prepaid annual subscription period already paid.
Part 3
Sessions & Services
8. Session Terms
8.1Booking. Sessions must be booked in advance through the Lewin Paro platform. We aim to make sessions available within 24 hours of booking for all paid plans. Availability may vary.
8.2Paro Sessions (20 minutes). Paro sessions are short, focused sessions designed to address immediate, performance-related concerns. "Paro" is derived from the Latin word meaning "to prepare". These sessions are bespoke to Lewin Paro and are not equivalent to clinical psychotherapy.
8.3Individual Plus Sessions (40 minutes). Longer specialist sessions available on the Individual Plus plan. These may be conducted by a named practitioner where the subscriber has exercised that right, subject to availability.
8.4Session allocation. Sessions are allocated on a per-calendar-month basis. Unused sessions do not roll over to the following month unless otherwise stated in your plan description.
8.5Late cancellation & no-shows. Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in the session being forfeited.
8.6Practitioner selection. Where a plan includes the right to select a named psychologist, this is subject to that practitioner's availability. If your preferred practitioner is unavailable, we will offer an alternative of equivalent qualification. Sessions cannot roll over — any session not used within its allotted month will be forfeited, regardless of practitioner availability.
8.7Nature of sessions. Sessions are conducted via Kajabi video call. You are responsible for ensuring you have a suitable, private, and confidential environment in which to take part.
8.8Recordings. All sessions conducted through Lewin Paro are recorded. By booking and attending a session, you consent to this recording. Recordings are managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and are used solely for quality assurance, safeguarding, and compliance purposes. If you wish to make your own personal recording, you must inform your practitioner at the start of the session and obtain their express consent before doing so. Any unauthorised recording may result in suspension of your account.
8.9Professional standards. All practitioners delivering sessions through Lewin Paro are required to hold appropriate qualifications and, where applicable, professional registration with a recognised body.
9. Digital Content & Resource Library
9.1All subscription plans include access to the Lewin Paro resource library ("Paro Resource Library"), comprising articles, tools, audio or video content, assessments, and other digital material.
9.2Content in the Library is for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, redistribute, republish, or share Library content without our prior written consent.
9.3Library content is for general informational and wellbeing purposes only and does not constitute medical, clinical, or psychiatric advice.
9.4Access to Library content is provided as part of your active subscription. If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, access will cease at the end of your billing period.
Part 4
Your Responsibilities
10. Your Account
10.1You must create an account to access the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
10.2You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering, and update your account information promptly if any details change.
10.3You must not share your account credentials with any other person. Your subscription is for your personal use only.
10.4If you suspect your account has been accessed without your authorisation, notify us immediately at [email protected].
10.5We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being misused, shared, or used in breach of these Terms.
11. Acceptable Use
11.1By using the Service, you agree that you will not:
- (a)Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws;
- (b)Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person;
- (c)Harm, harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse any practitioner, member of the Lewin Paro team, or other users;
- (d)Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, servers, or associated systems;
- (e)Reverse-engineer, copy, scrape, or reproduce any part of the platform or its content;
- (f)Upload, transmit, or distribute any harmful, offensive, defamatory, or illegal content;
- (g)Use the Service to obtain a second opinion on clinical diagnoses, for the purpose of litigation, or in any context requiring formal clinical assessment.
11.2We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate access where a breach of this section is suspected or confirmed, without refund.
Part 5
Confidentiality
12. Confidentiality
12.1Lewin Paro treats all personal information and session content as strictly confidential. We will not disclose information about your use of the Service, session content, or personal circumstances to any third party — including your employer — without your explicit written consent.
12.2Confidentiality may only be broken in the following exceptional circumstances, and only to the minimum extent necessary:
- (a)Where we are required to do so by a court order, legal obligation, or other binding regulatory requirement;
- (b)Where there is a credible and immediate risk of serious harm to you or to another identifiable person, and disclosure is necessary to prevent that harm;
- (c)Where you have given prior written consent to share specific information with a named third party.
12.3In any circumstance where confidentiality must be broken, we will, wherever possible, inform you in advance and explain the reason, unless doing so would itself create a risk of harm or is prohibited by law.
12.4Our full data handling practices are set out in our Privacy Policy.
Part 6
Intellectual Property
13. Intellectual Property
13.1All content, design, software, tools, branding, trademarks, and materials on the Lewin Paro platform — including text, graphics, logos, session frameworks, and resource content — are owned by or licensed to Lewin Paro Ltd and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
13.2Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. Your subscription grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for your own personal purposes during your active subscription period.
13.3The name "Lewin Paro", the Lewin Paro logo, and associated branding are the property of Lewin Paro Ltd and may not be used without prior written consent.
13.4Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide to us may be used by Lewin Paro without obligation to you, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Part 7
Health, Safety & Safeguarding
14. Crisis & Safeguarding
14.1Lewin Paro is a performance psychology and professional wellbeing service. It is not a crisis intervention service, emergency mental health provider, or clinical treatment service.
14.2The Service is not appropriate for individuals currently experiencing:
- (a)Active suicidal ideation or self-harm;
- (b)Acute psychotic episodes or severe psychiatric conditions;
- (c)Substance dependency requiring clinical detoxification;
- (d)Any mental health condition requiring active clinical management.
14.3If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or are in immediate distress, please seek help from an appropriate service:

14.4If a practitioner identifies a risk to your safety or the safety of another person, they are professionally and legally obligated to act in accordance with applicable safeguarding duties, which may include contacting appropriate services. This obligation overrides confidentiality in line with Section 12.2.
14.5We recommend all prospective users complete the Lewin Paro intake assessment honestly and in full. We reserve the right to decline or end a subscription and refer you to a more appropriate service if we have reason to believe the Service is not suitable for your circumstances.
Part 8
Liability & Warranties
15. Warranties & Service Standards
15.1We warrant that the Service will be provided with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
15.2We will use reasonable endeavours to ensure the platform is available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control may cause temporary unavailability.
15.3If the Service is unavailable for a prolonged or material period due to issues within our control, we will, at our discretion, extend your subscription by an equivalent period or offer a partial credit.
15.4The information, tools, and resources available through the Service are for wellbeing and performance support purposes only and do not constitute medical, clinical, psychiatric, or legal advice.
16. Limitation of Liability
16.1Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- (a)Death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- (b)Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- (c)Any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
16.2Subject to Section 16.1, Lewin Paro's total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
16.3We are not liable for: loss of income, profit, business, or data; indirect or consequential losses; any outcome of sessions or use of resources; or technical failures of third-party platforms (including Kajabi or Stripe) beyond our reasonable control.
16.4Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
Part 9
Platform & Technology
17. Third-Party Platforms
17.1Lewin Paro operates through third-party platforms including Kajabi (platform and membership management) and Stripe (payment processing). By using the Service, you acknowledge that these providers have their own terms of service and privacy policies which apply to the respective services they provide.
17.2We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or data handling of third-party platforms, except insofar as we are required to ensure adequate data processing agreements are in place under UK GDPR.
17.3The Service may contain links to external websites. These are provided for convenience only and we are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any third-party website.
18. Availability & Technical Issues
18.1We will use reasonable efforts to maintain the availability and performance of the platform. Scheduled maintenance will, where possible, be communicated in advance via email or on-site notice.
18.2If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing a booked session or subscription content, contact us at [email protected] as soon as possible. We will endeavour to reschedule affected sessions without penalty.
Part 10
General Legal Provisions
19. Termination by Lewin Paro
19.1We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, with or without notice, if:
- (a)You breach these Terms in a material way;
- (b)You engage in abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour toward practitioners or staff;
- (c)Payment repeatedly fails and is not resolved after reasonable notification;
- (d)We reasonably believe continued use poses a risk of harm to you, our practitioners, or others.
19.2On termination for breach, no refund will be issued for the remainder of any prepaid period.
19.3On termination for reasons other than breach (e.g. the service is discontinued), we will provide reasonable notice and issue a pro-rata refund for any unused prepaid period.
20. Complaints
20.1We take complaints seriously and are committed to resolving them promptly and fairly.
20.2To make a complaint, email [email protected] with the subject line "Complaint — [your name]". We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 working days.
20.3If you are not satisfied with our resolution, you may seek redress through the courts or, where applicable, through an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme.
20.4If your complaint relates to data protection, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk | 0303 123 1113.
21. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
21.1These Terms are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
21.2Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you are domiciled.
22. Severability
22.1If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed from the remaining Terms, which shall continue in full force and effect.
23. Waiver
23.1A failure or delay by Lewin Paro in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.
24. Entire Agreement
24.1These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lewin Paro Ltd in relation to your use of the Service, and supersede all prior communications, representations, or agreements.
